2nd HYPERION project meeting held 15-16th of May at Aselsan/EGM in Ankara, Turkey
The second project meeting of HYPERION was held at Aselsan/EGM premises during the 15-16th of May, 2013 in Ankara, Turkey. During the meeting the status of different workpackages was discussed. Also, the project group had the pleasure to visit the forensic laboratories of the turkish police, EGM, where a guided tour of their different divisions was included. All were very impressed of the resources and technologies of EGM forensic labs and the tour was very much appreciated by the group.
11th Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives (ISADE) 2013, 7-10 October
The International Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives is organised by three Dutch organisations engaged with research and development on explosives: the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV).Concentrating on analysis and detection, participants will present results and discuss groundbreaking developments in the fields of forensics and security covering the following themes:
1. Complementary and common issues in security and forensics
2. 'New' explosives: state-of-the-art and beyond
3. From analytical to operational and vice versa
End User Workshop, 20-21 February, 2013 in Madrid
During mid February 2013 an end user workshop will be arranged in Madrid. The purpose of the workshop is to eastblish requirements and guidelines for the forensic analysis system which will be developed throughout HYPERION. The workshop will be co-coordinated by four EU FP7 projects; HYPERION, ENCOUTER, FORLAB, and EMPHASIS.
HYPERION Kick-off meeting held at FOI, 24-25 October, 2012
During the 24-25 October a kick-off meeting washeld at FOI, Sweden. Here the participants had the chance to get to know each other and exchange thoughts and ideas for the project.
HYPERION presented on the 20th Security ESSEN fair, 25-28 September, 2012
EU FP7 projects coordinated by FOI were well presented at the 20th Security ESSEN fair on the 25-28th of September. For HYPERION coordinator Hans Önnerud participated and presented the project.
August 1st 2012 the Official start date for HYPERION
During summer the last administrative tasks were finalized and project HYPERION officially started on August 1st
